Submission Guidelines

Not open to all members of the public. It is okay if an activity charges a fee, so long as it is open to the public. For example, it’s okay to post that the local aquarium has a new sea otter pup, even though the aquarium charges an admission fee.
Primarily political or religious in nature; or
Used to promote sales, discounts or deals at a business. For example, it’s probably okay to post that a local Farmer’s Market is open on Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. It’s not okay to post that ABC store is selling widgets at 50% off.

It is never appropriate to post activities, or comments about activities, that are discriminatory, obscene, defamatory, offensive, disruptive or disrespectful, invasive of privacy rights, infringing upon intellectual property rights or other rights of third persons, or are otherwise inappropriate.

You irrevocably agree that Safeco Insurance will have the right to use, reproduce, exhibit, display, distribute, edit, re-format, adapt and exploit any material, such as photographs or images, or information submitted by you (the “Submissions”) in any manner and all media and formats whether now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation the website, throughout the world in perpetuity, without any further permission or approval from you. Without limitation of the foregoing, Safeco Insurance will be entitled to display your Submission and your name and biographical information (city and state of residence) on the website for public viewing and comment. By submitting a Submission, you release the Indemnitees from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with use of the Submissions as authorized hereunder, including, without limitation, all claims for copyright infringement, defamation and/or violation of the right of privacy or publicity. You may not terminate or rescind the permission granted to Safeco Insurance hereunder to use the Submissions. In the event of any claim by you against Safeco Insurance, you shall be limited to your remedy at law for damages, if any, and you may not enjoin, restrain or interfere with the distribution, exhibition or exploitation of the Submissions or any website or other production incorporating the same or the exploitation of any of Safeco Insurance’s rights hereunder.
